Faculty in Focus

  • Dr. Chris MillerExperience - The department of bibical education has more than 20 full-time faculty who specialize in teaching the Bible, Greek and Hebrew language study, theology, cross-cultural missionary service, urban ministries, women's ministries, youth ministries, and philosophy.
  • Ministry - Bible faculty are actively involved in outside ministry that enhances their classroom ministry as well. They serve as interim pastors, part-time pastoral staff, ministry consultants, and leaders of short-term mission trips.
  • Research - Faculty are active contributors to the field of research and have contributed to journals such as Bibliotheca Sacra, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Journal for the Study of the New Testament, Novum Testamentum, Themelios, Tyndale Bulletin, and Westminster Theological Journal.
  • Teaching Materials - Bible faculty have produced multimedia CDs that accompany the college textbook Encountering the New Testament by Baker Books. They have also written numerous adult Bible study curricula.
  • Books - Dr. Dan Estes has recently finished Handbook on the Poetical Books, published by Baker Books, and is writing a commentary on the Song of Songs for InterVarsity Press. Dr. David Hoffeditz has just produced a study on the lives of single people in the Bible titled They Were Single, Too, published by Kregel.
