Biography

Dr. Smith serves as Professor of Economics teaching also International Trade and Money and Financial Markets. He enjoys integrating Scriptures with the content of economic theory. He has written or co-authored several articles dealing with the integration of Bible and Economics.

My Calling

God has brought me to Cedarville to encourage students to think biblically about their business careers. Thus I enjoy seeing the connective links between economics and Scripture and to put these into practice in the classroom and in life. It brings a great deal of joy to me to be able to see all of life from God’s perspective. Though the term "calling" is not used in Scripture to specify a particular vocation or even an avocation the student can view his career in business as a "ministry" for the glory of God and to impact the Kingdom.
