David Rich
Dr. Rich serves as Associate Professor of Public Administration and Political Science. He completed his undergraduate work at Cedarville College and his DPA through Western Michigan University. Prior to returning to Cedarville in 2000, he gained twenty years of experience in local government, working as a city manager for the last twelve years. He has special interests in state and local government, privatization, and the Christian's role in political systems. While in Plymouth, Michigan he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Conference of Western Wayne Personnel Advisory Board.

Marc Clauson
Dr. Clauson received his M. A. in Political Science from Marshall University, Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University, Ph. D. work in Economic Theory at West Virginia University, M. A. from Liberty University in Christian Thought (Early and Patristic), M. Th. from Liberty University (Reformation and Post-Reformation History of Theology), Ph. D. work in Modern European Intellectual History from the University of Kentucky, Ph. D. in Modern European Intellectual History and Church History from the Universiteit van die Vrystaat, Bloemfontein, South Africa.
His published works include A Study of Scottish Hermeneutical Method from John Knox to the Early twentieth Century: From Christian to Secular (Edwin Mellen Press, 2004) and A History of the Modern Theonomic Movement (forthcoming).
Interests and areas of expertise include Reformation and Post-Reformation history and theology, history of economic thought, history of legal thought, history of science, history of theology and the relations between and among these. He also has an interest in the history and development of Christian worldview as a concept as well as worldview issues in general. Dr. Clauson is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America.

Frank Jenista
Dr. Frank Jenista serves as Professor of International Studies. He grew up overseas as the son of missionary parents. He graduated from Cedarville and returned to join the faculty following 25 years of service as a U.S. diplomat. A Senior Foreign Service Officer, Dr. Jenista's international assignments included service at U.S. embassies in Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, South America, and twice in the Philippines. He is the author of a book on Philippine-American history. In addition, he has published articles in professional journals, has written numerous research and policy papers for the State Department, and served as speech writer for ambassadors and other high level U.S. officials. Professor Jenista received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and has been at Cedarville since 2000.

Thomas Mach
Dr. Mach serves as Professor of History. He received his doctorate from the University of Akron in 1996. He taught United States History and American National Government at Mount Vernon Nazarene College for six years. His area of interest is 19th Century America, specifically focused on political history of the American Civil War and the Gilded Age. He has researched the role of Ohio and Ohio's politicians on national politics during the 19th century. Prior to coming to Cedarville in 2000, Dr. Mach served as an Honors Program Director and an Honors Seminar Coordinator. He has also been named as an Advanced Placement Reader in United States History for the Educational Testing Service.

Murray Murdoch
Dr. Murdoch serves as Senior Professor of History. He was the men's tennis coach at Cedarville College from 1965 to 1994 and still enjoys participating in the sport. He is the Chairman of the Men's National Tournament Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Dr. Murdoch is the Senior Pastor of Westerville Grace Baptist Church. Professor Murdoch received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 1971 and has been at Cedarville since 1965.

Kevin Sims
Dr. Sims is Professor of Political Science. Previous to coming to Cedarville, he invested six years as Chairman and Professor of History at Pillsbury College. Dr. Sims then spent some time teaching at Azusa Pacific University. He was a staff assistant to Congressman David Dreier from 1984 to 1990. Dr. Sims received his Ph.D. from The Claremont Graduate School in 1991 and has been at Cedarville since 1990.

Mark Smith
Dr. Smith serves as Assistant Professor of Political Science and the Director of the Center for Political Studies. He teaches courses in American Politics, Constitutional Law, and Research Methodology/Data Analysis. Dr. Smith has authored numerous refereed jounal articles, book chapters and other publications. His primary research interest is in the field of religion and American politics. He received his B.A. in history from Bryan College (1992), an M.A. in the History of Christianity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (1995), and an M.A. (1997) and Ph.D. (2001) in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Before arriving at Cedarville in 2004, Dr. Smith taught at Tulane University and Calvin College.

Kimberly Boeke-Wade
Mrs. Wade serves as the administrative assistant in the Department of History and Government. Kim is married and has 3 children. Her oldest son graduated from Cedarville in 2003. She also has two daughters ages 18 and 15. She has worked at Cedarville full and part-time since August of 1992.
