Accreditation
Regional and State
The program has received approval from both the Ohio Department of Higher Education and Higher Learning Commission to offer the Master of Medical Science in PA Studies degree.
Cedarville University holds institutional accreditation and approval (including that of the Higher Learning Commission) to award undergraduate and graduate degrees. Contact the HLC for questions about the accreditation of Cedarville University.
Professional
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the PA (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Provisional status to the Cedarville University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Cedarville University. Accreditation - Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program's ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation-Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.
Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than five years from matriculation of the first class. The program's accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website.
Cedarville University matriculated its first class in May 2023. Comprehensive program policies are available to review and status updates will be posted as they occur; please contact us if you have questions about where we are in the process.
Proudly Supporting the PA History Society
The Cedarville PA Program proudly supports the efforts of the PA History Society. For over 30 years, the Physician Assistant History Society, Inc., has dedicated itself to the history and legacy of the physician assistant profession through the identification and collection of appropriate media (e.g., papers, manuscripts, magazine and newspaper clippings, newsletters, reports, dissertations, oral histories, and visual artifacts, such as films, slides, videos, photographs, and digital images) that document the profession's incredible growth and development.
