Each faculty member in the department of English, Literature, and Modern Languages will broaden your thinking, stretch your horizons, and challenge your mind. They will care about you as a person and encourage you to grow in your relationship with Christ. As the faculty integrate biblical truth into their courses, they also foster a desire for knowledge, an enthusiasm for creative expression, and excellence in critical thinking.
The department's Spanish faculty encourages students to maximize their personal potential. They stay current in their teaching fields through course preparation, conference presentations, research, and travel. For example, Dr. Andrew Wiseman spent the spring and summer of 2004 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as Cedarville University's first Fulbright Scholar. In addition to teaching Spanish he leads the University's travel studies office, which coordinates Cedarville's exchange programs with Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
