New Course Proposals
If you are proposing a new course, a library review is part of the process for approving your course. To get started, submit your syllabus and complete the Library Services Impact Analysis form to explain how your students will use library resources for their assignments. You should also suggest materials that should be added to the collection to support the course.
The Director of Library Collection Services, Julie Deardorff, will analyze current holdings and recommend how to develop the collection based on your syllabus and analysis form. Her recommendations will be summarized in the Library Collection Analysis report, which you will have an opportunity to review before it is attached to the new course paperwork. This process involves tight deadlines, so we highly recommend that you submit your syllabus and analysis form to Julie before the official signature form is circulated.
