Cedarville Named A Best Value College
Cedarville was named as one of the "Best Value Colleges" in Ohio by SmartAsset.
Cedarville University is among the top-10 “Best Value Colleges” in Ohio according to SmartAsset, a financial planning resource designed to help high school students and their families get the most bang for their buck in higher education.
Cedarville is ranked No. 6 in this year’s list of Ohio’s “Best Value Colleges.” SmartAsset compiles its rankings based on each school’s average financial aid, starting salary after graduation, tuition, living costs and student retention rates.
The study measures value by calculating each college’s average financial aid, starting salary after graduation, tuition, living costs, and student retention rate. Final rankings are indicated by SmartAsset’s College Education Value Index.
Cedarville was among four institutions in the Miami Valley to be ranked in the top-10, which also included Miami University, University of Dayton and Wright State University. Among Cedarville’s most notable rankings was its average student living cost of just $8,600, which ranked as the lowest among any school on the list by more than $5,000.
In addition, Cedarville also posted the lowest tuition rate among the five private institutions on the list and ranked among the top five overall in student retention rate. The study also compared each school to the average for all Ohio colleges and universities, and Cedarville ranked well above the average in financial aid and average starting salary.
