Education Program Named Top 50 Nationally

Top Management Degrees recently released its top 50 online education degree programs in the nation. The list is dominated by big-time universities known just as much for their athletic success as their academic mindset.

The University of Houston, University of Florida, Florida State University, Indiana University and Texas A&M University comprise the top six universities on this list. But only one evangelical university —Cedarville University — is listed among the elite universities in the country.
 
Cedarville University is ranked No. 35 and is one of four Ohio universities in the top 50. The others include the University of Dayton (No. 3), the University of Cincinnati (No. 17), and Wright State University (No. 29). Big Ten power Michigan State University is just five slots higher than Cedarville University.

Cedarville gained the recognition for its 34-credit hour, Christian-focused Master of Education program designed to help experienced teachers increase their classroom effectiveness, while preparing them to assume leadership roles in their schools.
 
The list of prestigious education programs was ranked on reputation, prestige, accreditation, flexibility and estimated cost. Each criterion was given equal weight in order to gather a well-respected and high-quality online program. Data was gathered from each program’s website, U.S. News and World Report, the Princeton Review, as well as the National Center for Education Statistic.
