Resound Radio dedicates state-of-the art updates in studio
Cedarville University’s student-run radio station, Resound Radio, will dedicate its newly equipped studio on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 4 p.m. The event will be held in the lower level of the Stevens Student Center.
The upgrades include a new soundboard, microphones, monitors, software updates and a voice-tracking system.
The dedication will take place during the radio program “Amp Up” and will feature Cedarville University president Dr. Thomas White, vice president for academics Lt. Gen. Loren Reno and department of communication chair Derrick Green. David Long, a senior applied communication major, is the host of the radio program.
“This is an opportunity to dedicate the new studio to God and thank Him for the blessing He’s given us with new equipment and upgrades,” said Long. “The new equipment allows Resound Radio to improve its sound, while conducting our radio ministry more effectively.”
Jim Leightenheimer, associate professor of communications and adviser for Resound Radio, believes the new equipment puts the student radio station in a strong position to enhance its broadcast schedule.
“The support of the university administration is greatly appreciated and has already made a great difference in expanding the quality of our broadcast and in providing enhanced training for our staff,” said Leightenheimer. “This investment will better prepare Cedarville University students for futures in media for many years to come.”
