Worship Program Recognized by Sharefaith
Sharefaith has named Cedarville's worship ministry program as one of the nation's best.
Sharefaith, which provides thousands of ministry-related resources for churches around the country, named Cedarville University’s worship ministry program as one of the top 20 in the nation.
Schools were chosen based on their reputation for worship arts offerings, facilities, degrees and faculty, as well as region and location.
“We have great faculty, facilities and students that set us apart from other schools,” said Roger O’Neel, Ph.D., assistant chair of the department of music and worship. “We’re also blessed with a vibrant and intentional commitment to God’s Word, which permeates everything we do in the classroom and across all of campus life.”
For more than a decade, Sharefaith's award-winning resources have helped nearly 100,000 churches in 160 countries globally communicate the Gospel with creativity and excellence.
It is known as the largest church media company online, providing professional church websites and hosting, sermon graphics, video, print, worship projection, the Sharefaith magazine and a Sunday school curriculum.
Cedarville’s worship program features a combination of study in music, theology, worship and multimedia studies and allows students to concentrate in areas such as electronic media, music, theater, pre-seminary and communication. Practical experience is built into the worship program, so students are prepared to enter their chosen field after graduation.
“Our program is unique in that it is designed to be multidisciplinary in nature,” said O’Neel. “We are also set apart from other schools as we value contemporary music as the voice of our culture, and allow students to study contemporary music in the studio and classroom. Our program is also small enough to allow students to be highly involved, and yet large enough to provide lots of great opportunities.”
Cedarville’s worship program has also been recognized by Worship Leader Magazine as an Editor’s Pick for three of the last four years.
Located in southwest Ohio, Cedarville University is an accredited, Christ-centered, Baptist institution with an enrollment of 3,711 undergraduate, graduate, and online students in more than 100 areas of study. Founded in 1887, Cedarville is recognized nationally for its authentic Christian community, rigorous academic programs, strong graduation and retention rates, accredited professional and health science offerings, and leading student satisfaction ratings.
