Born to be Brave: A Father-Son Connection Event

by Lauren McGuire, Student Public Relations Writer – November 11, 2019

One-day conference will be held Thursday in the DeVries Theatre at the Stevens Student Center.

Cedarville University will host the Born to Be Brave conference on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6:30-9 p.m. in the Cedarville University DeVries Theatre.

Born to Be Brave is a one-night father-son adventure for boys ages 7-17. The evening will include fun and interactive games, including a wheel of destruction and 1,000 ping pong balls, plus a lesson from the Bible.

“Our ministry exists to bring fathers or father figures and sons closer to each other and closer to Jesus,” Matt Reigner, Born To Be Brave ministry manager said. “It’s designed for men and by men, so it’s 100% cool and 0% awkward.”

Bob Gresh, a 1988 alumnus of Cedarville University, will speak at the event, and the Allan Scott Band will lead a time of high-energy worship. Gresh is the creator of Born to Be Brave and the co-founder of True Girl.
