The Men’s Glee Club at Cedarville University will perform in concert on Tuesday,  Oct.  20, at 5 p.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall. This event is free and open to the public, with a seating capacity of 60.

The concert will occur according to COVID protocols. Wearing of masks and social distancing will be observed.

Under the direction of Dr. Lyle Anderson, senior professor of music, this program will present anthems, spirituals, popular selections, and numbers from Broadway musicals such as “Hamilton” and “Newsies.” Pieces included in this performance will include “O Sing to the Lord,” “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and “Do You Hear the People Sing” from the musical, “Les Miserables,” among others.

The 45-minute concert will include solo performances from Samuel Copeland, a computer science major from Hamilton, Ohio, and David McFaddin, a music education major from Delaware, Ohio.

“God is the Creator of singing and it will always be a great privilege to praise him with our voice, mind, and spirit,” said Anderson. “Even singing with masks, our goal is to sing with the same desire to edify and to entertain that has characterized the Men's Glee Club over the past 25 years.”
