Virtual Reality is Focus of Business Accelerator Webinar
The free webinar will be held on June 12 at 10 a.m. on Zoom and is open to the public.
Cedarville University’s Beyond Entrepreneurial Accelerator program is holding its first virtual event on Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. on Zoom. The webinar is free and open to the public.
The webinar will feature two Christian-owned startups seeking to raise capital at the on-campus Investor Impact event this coming October. Immerse is already generating revenue using virtual reality (VR) headsets to simulate in-classroom training. Springboard VR specializes in licensing virtual reality software to companies.
The Beyond program at Cedarville is made up of three main components: the entrepreneurship minor, the Startup Accelerator program and the Angel Network.

The 15-credit minor is available to all Cedarville students and consists of school of business administration classes related to entrepreneurship.
The Startup Accelerator is open to Cedarville students or alumni who want to launch a business and offers counsel from experienced entrepreneurs and connections to potential investors. Cedarville business students are also employed as part of the Venture Capital Assessment team (VCAT) that evaluates the startups and prepares them for soliciting investment.
The Beyond Angel Network consists of Christian professionals, many of whom are Cedarville alumni, who are committed to support students seeking to make a difference through kingdom-impact ventures. The Angel Network is the first of its kind tied to a university.
“We like to describe Beyond as Christian funders supporting Christian founders,” said Kyle Peterson, Beyond’s deputy director.
Beyond’s next Investor Impact event will take place on campus on October 23.
