Growing Enrollment Necessitates New Residence Hall
The new residence hall will be located on the west end of the present Johnson and St. Clair residence halls and near the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex.
The new residence hall will be located on the south end of the present Johnson and St. Clair residence halls and near the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex.
According to Rod Johnson, associate vice president of operations, the residence hall will house anywhere from 108-120 students.
The building of this new dorm requires the relocation of the sand volleyball courts, providing an opportunity to add two additional volleyball courts, two basketball courts, and a small expansion of the nearby parking lot.
The new residence hall will be built through the gifts of friends of the University and reallocated resources. The University will maintain its debt-free status, which Cedarville President Dr. Thomas White announced at the first chapel service this semester.
“We are grateful to God for the continued increase he has given to Cedarville,” White said. “This new residence hall will help contribute to the life-transforming campus experience that is a part of the 1,000 days of every student the Lord brings to us.”
