Every fall, high school seniors are faced with college applications. They wonder when, where and how they should apply. Cedarville University is making this decision easier by offering a $1,000 scholarship to students who apply before November 1.
The decision to apply for college has never been easier. Applying early can relieve some stress for high school seniors, as well as provide added financial benefits through Cedarville’s new Bold Leader Scholarship.
“The earlier you apply the more time you allow yourself to see if you’ll be admitted and start to make your plans to attend the following fall,” said Dr. Scott Van Loo, vice president for enrollment management. “By applying before November 1, students are in a better position to receive a stronger financial aid package than students who delay the application process. Our average incoming freshman receives over $20,000 in financial aid, and for most students the Bold Leader Scholarship will be the first scholarship among several they will receive.”
Students who apply before November 1 will receive a waived application fee as well as the $1,000 Bold Leader Scholarship. And students who apply by August 31 are eligible for a campus visit travel voucher worth $100 for gas or $200 for a plane ticket.
To receive the Bold Leader Scholarship, students who apply before November 1 must be formally admitted to the university as a degree seeking full-time undergraduate. The scholarship is renewable with satisfactory academic progress for up to eight semesters.
