One of the leading Christian college expos for middle and high school students—the Creation College Expo — will take place Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky. And, amid the event leading worship will be Cedarville University’s Jubilate choir. The expo will connect more than 1,500 students in grades 7-12 with representatives from Christian colleges from across the country who adhere to biblical authority and teach young-earth creation. Students will also experience Bible history up close as they tour the Ark Encounter — a life-size representation of Noah’s Ark.
Headlining the event will be Ken Ham, founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis. He will be joined by Mark Spence, senior vice president of Living Waters.
Jubilate will open the expo with a concert that is focused on leading the large group in worship. In addition to the opening concert, they will also perform later in the day.
Founded in 1998, Jubilate is a ministry team of 52 vocalists — both worship and non-worship majors alike — and instrumentalists who perform a wide variety of musical styles showcasing evangelical traditions. The choir holds concerts both on campus and in churches throughout the year and provides music ministry workshops and presentations.
The choir last performed at the expo in 2019.
For Dr. Roger O’Neel, professor of worship and director of Jubilate, the opportunity to lead Jubilate again at Creation College Expo 2023 was one he couldn’t pass up.
“Being invited to an event like this is great exposure for Cedarville and our worship program,” O’Neel said. “But it’s also a great opportunity to worship God with other believers.”
