The ACS Scholars Program awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students majoring in undergraduate chemistry-related disciplines, who are intending to pursue careers in chemistry-related fields. Selected recipients are awarded up to $5,000 per academic year.
Criteria:
- Must be African American, Hispanic-Latino, or American Indian
- US citizen or permanent resident of the US
- Full time student at an accredited college, university, or community college
- High achiever in chemistry or science with a GPA that is 3.0 or higher
- Ability to demonstrate evidence of financial need (based on FAFSA)
- High school senior or college freshman, sophomore, or junior intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a chemically-related science, and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology.
