Christian Universities Online, an independent resource which highlights the top Christian colleges in the nation, released its ranking of the top 50 Christian colleges in the United States and Cedarville University is ranked No. 24.
The rankings are based on student/faculty ratio, acceptance rates, financial aid and student retention rates. Cedarville has a student/faculty ratio of 14:1, a 74 percent acceptance rate, and 85 percent student retention. Cedarville also offers financial aid or scholarships to 95 percent of students.
In addition to being among the top Christian colleges nationwide, Cedarville is the highest ranked Christian university in Ohio.
“This ranking seeks to highlight intentionally Christian colleges and universities that excel in categories of personal attention to their students, selectivity, readily available financial aid and overall student satisfaction,” said Michael Templeton, editor of CUO.
Cedarville also received accolades in a number of other categories including; best online MBA programs (No. 13), colleges with the lowest debt burden (No. 17), predicted graduation rate (No. 24) and best online graduate school (No. 31).
Roscoe Smith, associate vice president for university admissions, noted the spiritual climate of the campus is attractive to students.
“Students apply and attend Cedarville University because they are drawn to the way we approach a Christ-centered biblical worldview and they appreciate having chapel five days a week,” said Smith.
