The ranking is a 17-spot jump from last year, when Cedarville ranked No. 100 in the nation. A total of 11 institutions from Ohio were recognized in the rankings.
“At the heart of our M.Ed. online program are the high quality faculty and the rigorous courses that they have created,” said Stephen Gruber, Ed.D., assistant dean of the school of education and director of the M.Ed. program. “Our faculty are professionally supported by the dedicated staff of our Center for Teaching and Learning who package our courses so attractively. The program is distinctive from other M.Ed. programs because of our commitment to biblical integration.”
Cedarville’s program is ranked No. 5 in Ohio, ahead of Kent State University (No. 136), Baldwin Wallace University (No. 146), Xavier University (No. 161), Bowling Green State University (No. 166), Cleveland State University (No. 188) and Ohio Dominican University (RNP).
The M.Ed. program at Cedarville offers great flexibility for students. A degree can be obtained by completing a standard full-time, two-year program or through a part-time completion option for those who want to go at their own pace.
Cedarville’s program is designed to help teachers increase their classroom effectiveness by preparing educators to assume leadership roles in their schools and in the teaching profession.
The program is a 34-credit hour program and applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in education from a regionally accredited institution and have current or previous licensure as a teacher.
Cedarville offers other graduate degree programs including a Master of Business Administration, Master of Ministry, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Pharmacy.
