Dr. Paige Patterson, president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and current member of the Cedarville University Board of Trustees, will speak in chapel at Cedarville on March 21, 2017.
Patterson has been educating pastors and missionaries for more than 40 years. He served for 18 years as president of Criswell College in Dallas, Texas, and the president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, for 11 years.
From 1998-2000, Patterson served two terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. He has served as president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary since 2003.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, Patterson completed his master’s and doctoral degrees at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Patterson and his wife have traveled to more than 135 countries and have shared the gospel with heads of state in several countries, including Palestine and Israel.
