Dean Inserra, lead pastor of City Church in Tallahassee, Florida, will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Sept. 19.
As the student body president at Leon High School, Inserra was called to start a church in his hometown of Tallahassee. In 2007, he planted City Church, where he leads the congregation in vision and preaching.
After receiving his bachelor's degree from Liberty University, Inserra went on to earn his master’s from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). He is currently working on his doctorate from SBTS.
Inserra also serves as an advisory member of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s Leadership Council (ERLC), an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention. The ERLC is committed to engaging culture with the truth of the Bible in the public square through encouraging a change in church culture.. He is also a member of Baptist21, a pastor-led network that promotes the supreme importance of the Bible and value of the local church.
Inserra and his wife, Krissie, are the parents of sons, Tommy and Ty, and daughter, Sally Ashlyn.
