Dave Patty, director and president of Josiah Venture, will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Chapel begins at 10 a.m.
Patty was one of the founding members of the Josiah Venture, a nonprofit organization committed to equipping the next generation of church leaders in central and eastern Europe. Patty serves in the Czech Republic. While serving there, Patty was an executive producer of a national television program, "Exit 316," which achieved over eight million views in the 83 weeks it aired.
Before founding Josiah Venture, Patty served 10 years in Germany with Cadence International, an evangelical mission agency focused on reaching military personnel and their families.
Patty is also a founding member of the Global Youth Initiative, which mobilizes and equips youth ministry trainers in more than 80 countries.
He wrote “Father God: Daring to Draw Near,” a practical guidebook to heal wounds inflicted by earthly fathers while challenging readers to draw closer to their heavenly father.
Patty has a Bachelor of Arts in theology from Multnomah School of Bible in Portland, Oregon, and a Master of Arts in education from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He is also an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Free Church.
