Some people might say that 2017 Cedarville alumnus Drew Brandt is a squirrely guy. He is able to make his own fun out of just about any situation, he loves playing in the outdoors, he has tons of bouncy energy, and he loves unexpected opportunities. Just ask his friends who joined him for an unplanned trek into and out of the Grand Canyon.
Drew’s bride, Allie, has been blessed firsthand by her husband’s creative spontaneity. For instance, their May wedding turned into virtual nuptials in March when Drew saw the coronavirus changing everything. A pastor officiated from Dallas while Allie and Drew exchanged vows in a living room sanctuary in Alabama. It was still a beautiful day with loved ones.
In high school, Drew wasn’t sure how to combine this adventurous spirit and his faith. There didn’t seem to be a way to match the two. But at Cedarville, he found the perfect place and people to combine his creative spirit with a deep love for the Lord.

The perfect major for Drew’s creative hands-on endeavors was industrial and innovative design.
An easy-to-build tree fort for parents with few building skills became Drew’s capstone project when he studied at the International Center for Creativity. That design was the key to him landing his current job creating outdoor play equipment.
