Rah Jacob is at rah-rah type of guy, making his first name a perfect fit for his personality. He is also an alumnus of Cedarville who was a beloved servant leader. Now as director of advancement experiences, he is still known for his electric smile, fun-loving style, and exuberant spirit.
His personality is also a great fit for his role connecting current students and recent alumni to the mission of the university.
One of Jacob’s biggest mentors is Dr. Jon Wood, vice president for student life and Christian ministries. In the podcast, hear about how Wood and Jacob’s relationship started with a funny incident involving Wood’s dog. This “ruff” beginning has led to a deep friendship.
Cedarville Stories Fun Facts About Rah Jacob
Jacob’s parents emigrated from India to the United States, and he has spent many summers visiting his extended family and friends there.
Originally, Jacob applied for colleges near his home in the Chicago-area. But on is one-and-only campus visit to Cedarville, he fell in love and switched his plans to study in the Windy City for the cornfields of Ohio.
As a student, Jacob was the president of the Student Government Association and co-hosted Elliv, the end of the year student-led talent and awards show.
