Cedarville University conferred 892 degrees at its 125th commencement programs April 30-May1. The university also recognized members of the class of 2020.
Because of COVID, Cedarville held three separate commencement programs for its graduates, all of them taking place in the Doden Field House. The university provided each participant and attendee with a Cedarville-branded face mask.
On Friday, April 30, Cedarville honored 234 undergraduate and graduate students from the class of 2020. In addition, the university awarded degrees to its 138 master’s and doctoral students from the class of 2021.
On Saturday, May 1, 754 graduates participated in two undergraduate commencement programs. The first program, at 10 a.m., recognized graduates from business administration, education, engineering and computer science, interdisciplinary studies, and nursing.
At 2 p.m. Cedarville conferred degrees to its graduates from allied health; art, design, and theatre; biblical a nd theological studies; communication; English, literature, and modern languages; history and government; music and worship; pharmacy; psychology; science and mathematics; and social work.
As a private Christian university, Cedarville’s commencement events were religious services, including prayer, worship, and a clear presentation of the Gospel.
