You might confuse Diana Perkey’s walk with God as a run. Diana is a 1991 alumna of Cedarville and was recently named the Director of Alumni Engagement. She’s been on the run since she arrived, and her impact is already being felt.
Diana compares her faith in Christ to a relay race: a continual process of releasing and receiving the baton and being faithful with each new calling from Jesus. That has included orphan care missions to Kenya, Uganda, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
Her partner on the run is her husband of 30 years, Bret. Their course hasn’t always been smooth or well-marked. Even though pockmarked with challenges, they have pressed hard after the Lord and watched Him move mountains, such as when Bret suffered a stroke in 2014 or the health issues their youngest daughter faced in 2017, which required leaving the mission field.
“We just walk each day literally by faith, trusting in His plan and what He’s laid out in front of us and just trying to be obedient to that next step,” she shares during the podcast. “And we never know the twists and turns; we just have to walk.”
