Cedarville University will host approximately 110 companies and organizations at its in-person Fall Career Fair in the Doden Field House on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The event, running from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
Among the large number of organizations attending the career fair are Dayton Children’s Hospital, Speedway LLC, Answers in Genesis, Mercy Health, Danis Construction, the U.S. Navy, Tyndale House Publishers, and Reynolds & Reynolds.
Several graduate schools and seminaries will also be present.
The career fair has historically been an integral element of Cedarville life and a crucial part of college students finding internships and post-graduation career positions.
This year, it will be entirely in person again.
“Learning how to network and present oneself professionally are important skills to learn prior to entering the workforce,” said Jeff Reep, director of Career Services. “Employers are not only looking for people who can help achieve their professional goals, but also individuals who have a strong character and can work appropriately in a professional environment.”
According to Reep, the career fair’s impressive size is due to the success of Cedarville alumni. “Our graduates go out and do well in the workplace. As a result, employers believe they can find more high-quality individuals from Cedarville, so they return to our career fair.”
