Nearly 99% of Cedarville University graduates are working or attending graduate school within six months of earning their degrees.
Chloe Hunt, who earned a degree in broadcasting, digital media and journalism last year has recently been hired as an assistant producer with Focus on the Family. She previously worked in the promotions department for one of the leading Christian radio stations in the nation – WCVO “The River” in Columbus, Ohio.
It was during her tenure at “The River” when Hunt developed a desire to help create Christian content for the broadcasting industry. Her role with Focus on the Family will center on assisting in the production of the daily radio program, “Focus on the Family with Jim Daly.” Daly is the president of Focus on the Family, and his co-host, John Fuller, oversees the organization’s audio division.
Hunt will search for guests for the program and conduct preliminary interviews to ensure the content and individual fit within the mission of the program.
Focus on the Family is a global Christian ministry dedicated to helping families thrive. It provides resources for couples to build healthy marriages and for parents to raise children according to values grounded in biblical principles. The ministry is best known for its daily radio program, “Focus on the Family with Jim Daly,” and children’s radio drama, “Adventures in Odyssey.”
"I was beyond excited to work with an organization that cares for families and with a mission that aligns with my calling to help families thrive," said Hunt. “I am immensely grateful for this opportunity but also for Cedarville University’s faculty helping me to learn how to tell effective stories through broadcasting.”
As a student, Hunt was a student manager for the on-campus “Resound Radio” station.
“The experience that I gained by working at ‘Resound Radio’ has proven to be instrumental to my young career,” said Hunt. "Cedarville provided me with a foundation in media that has helped me thrive in the workforce and be confident in my abilities as a professional."
