Academic Support Continues at The Cove

The Cove, our academic enrichment center, sent out the following email to faculty and staff, and we wanted to make sure you and your student are aware of these services. This and other information can also be found on our COVID-19 blog. Be sure to subscribe to receive daily updates.

Hello from The Cove,

God is faithful, and we are trusting Him during this time of transition.

As a team, we evaluated and adapted our courses, programs, and services to provide online academic support and access. As we are all are adapting to remote learning, we want to make you aware of The Cove services available to your students.

Services and Programs

Tutoring: The Cove has changed all in-person tutoring to online tutoring using Zoom, Google Meet, or FaceTime. Rather than students meeting face-to-face as a group for Math Lab and Peer Coach review sessions or drop-in sessions, students can make virtual individual tutoring appointments. A student can make a tutoring appointment online.

Disability Services: The Cove will continue to provide accommodations for students with disabilities. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact disabilityservices@cedarville.edu

Faculty Academic Coaching: We will continue to provide faculty academic coaching. Students can sign up for a 30-minute appointment for academic support in topics such as the transition to distance learning, time management, test-taking, test preparation, note-taking, study strategies, motivation, test anxiety, and more. Students can make an academic coaching appointment online. Click on Schedule, then Bookings.

Courses: Foundations and MAP (Academic Probation) are currently using Canvas for online coursework and meetings.
