University Closure Information: Monday, January 6
Sunday, January 5, 2025
Due to the winter storm and hazardous driving conditions in Greene County and throughout the region, Cedarville University will be closed on Monday, January 6. Spring semester undergraduate classes and the Global Outreach Conference will now begin on Wednesday, January 8 (instead of Tuesday). Note that PA and PharmD courses will meet tomorrow online. More details for PA and PharmD students are provided below.

Dining Options
The dining hall will open at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow (Monday, January 6) for dinner. We will send additional information about Tuesday’s dining hours and which venues will be open in the Daily Buzz e-newsletter on Tuesday morning.
Building Access
Public areas as well as collaboration and practice rooms (not classrooms) in the following buildings will be open on Monday and Tuesday:
- Center for Biblical and Theological Studies (BTS)
- Dixon Ministry Center (DMC)
- Fitness and Recreation Center (Fit/Rec)
- Health Sciences Center (HSC)
- Scharnberg Business and Communication Center (SBCC)
- Stevens Student Center (SSC)
Events
New student orientation on Monday will go forward with some modifications:
- 8–11 a.m. | New Yellow Jacket Registration and Move-in
- 3 p.m. | Spring Getting Started Program
- 4:30 p.m. | Dinner With Small Group
New students, if you are unable to come to campus on Monday, a Campus Experience team member will contact you to help you complete necessary orientation steps. The Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, and Cashiers Office will assist with any final registration details on Tuesday.
The Welcome Home Bash will occur from 6–9 p.m. Monday evening as planned.
The Global Outreach (GO) Conference will begin on Wednesday, January 8, at 10 a.m., with additional sessions Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. and Thursday morning at 10 a.m.
PA Studies and Pharmacy Programs
PA and Pharmacy graduate classes will meet for classes online tomorrow, January 6. Watch for communication from your PA or PharmD program faculty with plans for Tuesday’s classes.
University Medical Services
University Medical Services will be closed. In case of emergency, please call 911.
Vehicles
University vehicles are grounded until further notice.
