Cedar Care Village Pharmacy has a new director of pharmacy.
Stacy Cody will take over responsibility for the Cedarville operation, which is a teaching pharmacy serving students in the Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. He will assume his new role on August 13.
Cody is replacing Dr. Jeb Ballentine, who stepped down in July.
There will be a Meet the Pharmacist open house on August 14 at Cedar Care Village Pharmacy from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., allowing customers to meet Cody and learn more about Cedar Care. Light refreshments will be served.
Cody currently owns a pharmacy consulting business through Different SH, Inc. in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Prior to that, he was owner and pharmacist of Cody Drug, also of Sulphur Springs (codydrug.com).
Cody is currently licensed in Texas, Hawaii and Ohio and is a former member of the Texas Pharmacy Association Board. He is the former mayor of Sulphur Springs and has served on international missions trips.
"For the second half of my career, God has prepared me for a focus on significance,” said Cody. “My priorities are independent pharmacy, Christian business and missions — all of which intersect in this opportunity to lead Cedar Care Village Pharmacy. I view this work as a calling, and I am excited to serve our community.”
"We are very fortunate to find such a seasoned community pharmacist who has a track record of success and a heart to serve the Lord,” noted Dr. Marc Sweeney, dean of the school of pharmacy. “The students and community will be blessed by his service."
Cedar Care Village Pharmacy opened for business in April. In addition to licensed pharmacists, the pharmacy is a clinical rotation site for students from the school of pharmacy.
