Arts and Humanities Events at Cedarville

The Cedarville Women's Choir, under the direction of Beth Cram Porter, presents their fall concert, No Darkness At All, on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 7pm in the Bolthouse Center for Music Recital Hall. Themes of light and dark run through the musical selections reminding believers that Christ is our light, the shade at our right hand, and that in him there is no darkness at all. The night and the day are both alike. This encouraging concert features music by Charles Callahan, and Pavel Chesnokov. This event is free and open to the public.

The Cedarville University Jazz Band will present their annual Christmas concert. Come hear timeless Christmas classics and modern arrangements of favorite carols.This event is free and open to the public.

Music Showcase at Cedarville University attracts select high school musicians to campus each year. Directed by the outstanding Cedarville music professors, students experience the rehearsal and recital halls of the Dixon Ministry Center, while learning challenging literature. Music Showcase check-in begins on Thursday, February 13 and culminates with the Honor Concert at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 15 in the Jeremiah Chapel. Chet Jenkins will conduct the Honor Band and Dr. Lyle Anderson will direct the Honor Choir. These men will challenge students to develop their musical talents for the glory of God.
