Library Careers Dinner
Library Careers Dinner
Every November, the library hosts a free dinner for students interested in learning about library careers. The evening includes conversations with librarians and graduate school students, presentations by interns and librarians, and a catered dinner. An email is sent out in advance with information and a request for RSVPs.
Testimonial
"I think the most helpful thing was talking to people with experience in the field, especially with the fact that I was seated next to a librarian who had been in my major. It was also helpful to see all the different things libraries offer, because some
of the things were far more interesting to me than I had imagined. I think it helped make it clearer to me that this is definitely a path I would be interested in pursuing."
