Biography

Shu-Li joined Cedarville's faculty in 2023. Originally from Malaysia, she moved to Cincinnati to study music after experiencing God's call and provision. While Shu-Li is classically trained, her performance experience and musical interests span various genres. In May 2024, Shu-Li completed a two-year project recording and performing music written for cello and pre-recorded track, featuring compositions by Emily Cooley, Steve Reich, and Michael Harrison.

Committed to ensuring the accessibility of music to all, Shu-Li was one of two musicians selected as Artist-in-Residence of Twin Towers Senior Living Community in 2017, performing over 25 recitals for residents there. She is also a Strings Teaching Artist at MYCincinnati, an El Sistema-inspired free music program for children in underserved Price Hill.
