Academic Coaching
As an international student, you'll be paired with an academic coach to help you achieve at your highest academic level. We want you to feel supported academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Academic coaching will help ensure your success in the classroom and add value to the educational investment you are making.
Foundations Course
As you begin your studies in the United States, the learning habits you develop will influence the rest of your education. The one-credit hour Foundations course, which you'll take as a new international student, will help you adapt to college-level learning in the U.S. If you are a missionary kid (MK) or third culture kid (TCK) student, you are highly encouraged to take the Foundations course as well. You will explore strategies for taking notes and tests, thinking critically, and writing in academic English. You'll also learn how best to balance your priorities and manage your time well.
The class size is intentionally small, and your professor will help you advocate for your unique goals. You will identify your strengths, discover what motivates you to succeed, and learn to steward these gifts for God's glory. The habits and goals you develop will not only prepare you for college, but also equip you for a lifetime of success.
