One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

Fostering Relationships and Stewarding Resources

With a world of possibilities ahead, it can be overwhelming for students at Cedarville to navigate the college season of life with all its unknowns. Women of Impact is an initiative to connect women across generations who encourage one another and testify to God's faithfulness in every season of life. In addition to building meaningful, cross-generational relationships, Women of Impact also channels impact to Cedarville students and academic programs through scholarships and enrichment grants.

Together, let's steward our resources for Kingdom impact and build up the next generation for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.

Our Impact

Women of Impact creates opportunities to foster relationships between generations of women and steward our resources to impact students through scholarships and enrichment grants.

Fostering Relationships

Throughout the year, Women of Impact will host events to intentionally encourage female students at Cedarville. Students will build meaningful relationships and hear uplifting stories of God’s faithfulness from members. As older women share their life experiences and testimonies with female Cedarville students, both are encouraged to trust God wholeheartedly and faithfully steward the time, testimonies, talents, and treasures He has given them.

Stewarding Resources

Female Cedarville students will be encouraged to thrive academically by engaging in networking events and applying for scholarships and grants funded through Women of Impact.

Student scholarships are awarded annually to female students who represent different majors, exhibit exemplary character, and demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence.

Enrichment grants are proposed by faculty and staff annually for projects not covered by department budgets. Members will vote annually on proposals to fund research, supplies and equipment, professional development, and faculty/student collaboration projects.

Event Highlights: Voices of Wisdom

To officially launch the Women of Impact initiative, we hosted our first event on November 7 Voices of Wisdom: Encouragement When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned. Over 200 female students of all grades and majors filled the room to hear from keynote speaker Jena Powell (Ohio House representative) and a group of panelists: Dr. Kris DeWitt (faculty member), Carrie Holt (’00 alumna), and Dr. Janice Supplee (VP for Marketing and Communication, ’86 alumna).

Together, these women shared testimonies of God’s faithfulness in the midst of difficult trials in their lives, plumbing the depths of infertility, job loss, raising kids with special needs, and other great unknowns while holding fast to Christ. They also applied biblical wisdom to student questions during a Q&A time with the audience.

Feedback from students was incredibly positive, showing great support for future events and opportunities to connect with those involved in Women of Impact. Toward the end of the event, we awarded the first Women of Impact Scholarship to a student who was chosen out of 85 applicants.

As we near the end of the year and begin a new semester, we are looking to fund additional student scholarships and academic enrichment grants. We received 15 proposals from faculty looking for special funding for a variety of smaller campus projects, research, and professional development opportunities. So far, several grants have been fully funded, while others have been partially funded. We are still looking for funding for a few grants, so feel free to check out the link below to see if any of these proposals align with your passions.
