The traditional Community Christmas Celebration concert at Cedarville University will help usher in the holiday season on Sunday, Dec. 8. The concert begins at 6 p.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center’s Jeremiah Chapel on campus.
The event is free of charge and open to the public. For those unable to attend in person, the concert will be livestreamed at cedarville.edu/Christmas live. The concert will feature ensembles from the university’s music department, including the jazz band, orchestra, concert chorale, women’s choir, Jubilate and many more.
Musical selections will include classical standards like Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, favorite hymns and carols celebrating the birth of Christ and holiday standards.
“The department of music and worship provides the community with the true awe-inspiring and life-changing message of the birth of Christ through a variety of musical compositions that explore the majesty of Christmas,” says the main coordinator of the concert, Dr. Bruce Curlette, professor of music. “It's not just entertainment. It's worship.
Join the community to enjoy the sounds of the season while praising the Christ of Christmas.
