Ohio Governor Mike DeWine re-appointed Dr. Jeff Huston of the Cedarville University School of Pharmacy to the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy. And for fiscal year 2025, Huston serves as vice president of the board as a result of the members’ vote.
“It’s an honor to be chosen by Governor DeWine to serve on the Ohio Board of Pharmacy,” said Huston, associate professor of pharmacy practice. “The Board serves an important role in Ohio to act efficiently, consistently and impartially to pursue optimal standards of practice through communication, education, legislation, licensing and enforcement in protecting public health interests, as the mission statement says. I’m truly humbled by this appointment.”
The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy serves to protect the public, conducting checks for compliance with state law and codes as well as holding hearings when necessary for cases of noncompliance.
Huston, who has served on the board since 2021, brings more than three decades of experience to his leadership position, including 11 years as a community pharmacist and 24 years in higher education. Both his practical and educational experiences give him the foundation to serve the public well.
