Cedarville University’s commitment to providing a premier education in cybersecurity, anchored in biblical principles, has been recognized with top honors in Cybersecurity Guide’s 2024 rankings. The program secured the No. 1 ranking for Best Overall cybersecurity program, while also being ranked No. 3 for Most Affordable nationwide.
In the past half-decade, Cedarville's computer science and cyber operations program has experienced remarkable growth, attracting students from diverse regions across the nation seeking excellence in cybersecurity education. The latest accolade from Cybersecurity Guide, which recognizes Cedarville’s cyber operations program specifically, further underscores Cedarville's standing as a national leader in cybersecurity education.
“We are thrilled to receive this honor, and the timing is special because this May we will graduate our first class of cyber operations majors,” Dr. Seth Hamman, director of the Center for the Advancement of Cybersecurity at Cedarville, said. “Cybersecurity Guide’s number one ranking is an affirmation and an accolade that will accompany our grads into the workforce.”
Claudine Anague, Cybersecurity Guide's marketing specialist, highlighted that the chosen schools in their analysis demonstrated a combination of exceptional educational offerings and accessibility, with Cedarville emerging as the standout choice.
To evaluate the cybersecurity programs, Cybersecurity Guide scrutinized over 100 schools based on graduation rates, retention rates, admission rates, tuition costs and the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cybersecurity designations. Cedarville University's recognition includes a cyber defense (CAE-CD) and cyber operations (CAE-CO) designation, a commendable 73.9% graduation rate, and an 85.1% retention rate.
The Cybersecurity Guide's rankings affirm Cedarville University's dedication to delivering an outstanding education, propelling its cybersecurity program to new heights. These distinctions not only underscore the program's excellence but also anticipate sustained growth in the years ahead.
“We have qualified, dedicated, and Godly faculty teaching in our cyber program. That is a big competitive advantage for us because top faculty are difficult to attract and retain in this market. Additionally, the Lord brings us remarkable young men and women who are a joy to teach. They have outstanding character and are committed to academic excellence,” Hamman said. “We are excited by this honor but are still pushing forward in our commitment to provide the highest quality undergraduate learning experience possible.”
