Cedarville University’s Robert W. Plaster School of Business is building leaders, cultivating communicators and inspiring entrepreneurs. Now, prospective students can get their first look at what their future business education at Cedarville will look like during Business Preview Day on Friday, Feb. 7. The event begins at 8 a.m.
“Business Preview Day is a fantastic opportunity for prospective students to get a real taste of all that God is doing through the school of business,” said Dr. Kary Oberbrunner, Berry Chair of Entrepreneurship at Cedarville.
Prospective students will experience how business professors work daily to equip each student for successful, Kingdom-focused careers. They will also have opportunities to interact with current students to get an insider's perspective on life at Cedarville.
The Business Preview day includes chapel, a campus tour, class visits, a student panel discussion and the business involvement fair.
The day concludes with The Pitch, a Shark Tank-style event that encourages Cedarville students to make their entrepreneurial dreams a reality. Participants present startup ideas to a panel of business professionals while competing for a $1,000 grand prize. Past winning ideas have included an AI-powered fashion consulting technology and an ecologically responsible method of turning waste into high-value bio-products.
“The Pitch is the perfect grand finale to an exciting day. It helps prospective students see how Cedarville University students are inventing real solutions to real problems,” said Oberbrunner.
