Backed by a legacy of excellence and a strong job placement record, Cedarville continues to shape the future of nursing — both clinically and spiritually.

In the overall ranking, Cedarville’s program is no. 71 and the sixth highest in Ohio, standing alongside The Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University. Cedarville and Xavier are the only two private Ohio universities in the ranking.

Cedarville’s MSN program offers multiple in-demand tracks, including adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, pediatric nurse practitioner, nurse educator, nursing leadership and a dual MSN+MBA (Master of Business Administration) for those interested in a career in high-level administrative positions.

“Cedarville’s nursing program has a long history of producing nurses who are equipped with excellence to care for patients both clinically and spiritually,” said Dr. Angelia Mickle, dean of the School of Nursing. “I’m not surprised that our MSN degree is being recognized as a leader in the state and nation. When you begin with a vision of nursing as ministry, excellence is the outcome.”

With a strong reputation for excellence, Cedarville University continues to expand its nursing education offerings. In addition to its highly ranked MSN program, the university provides a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), continuing education certificates, and a robust undergraduate nursing program. Nursing graduates in the class of 2024 achieved an impressive 97.43% placement rate, meaning nearly 98% secured jobs or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation.

“Healthcare is dynamic and complex. We aim to fully equip our graduates with all they need to succeed, lead and serve others for God’s glory,” added Mickle.
