Cedarville University has been placed among the top three evangelical universities in The Wall Street Journal’s 2025 Best Colleges in the US national rankings.
Utilizing the criteria of being a member of the International Alliance for Christian Education (IACE), the preeminent global network for educational institutions in the evangelical tradition, Cedarville University placed the third-highest among evangelical universities in The Wall Street Journal’s 2025 report. IACE member institutions are focused on biblical orthodoxy, cultural witness, scholarship and professional excellence.
“Cedarville’s growing prominence within evangelical higher education is grounded in our unwavering mission to provide an education marked by academic rigor, true biblical integration and intentional discipleship,” said Dr. Janice L. Supplee, Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Dean of Graduate Studies at Cedarville University. “Our track record shows that graduates are not only prepared to excel professionally but are also committed to advancing the Gospel in their spheres of influence.”
Exemplifying Cedarville’s unique impact, the university’s cyber security degree program is one of only 21 in the nation to have earned the distinguished National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations by the National Security Agency (NSA), and the only Christian university to receive that honor. Cedarville is also one of only five evangelical universities to offer an accredited Physician Assistant program, opening new doors for impactful service among mission-oriented Christian students interested in medicine.
“Cedarville University was founded on the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, so these rankings are not our ultimate goal,” continued Supplee. “Still, we are grateful for the external validation of our mission and vision.”
