A unique, faith-based flea market will take place Saturday, March 22 in Washington Court House, Ohio. The event, organized by Cedarville University senior Chayton Gearhart, will bring area vendors and the community together from 3–6 p.m. for an afternoon of community and entrepreneurship.
Chayton Gearhart, who will receive a degree in business management during Cedarville’s commencement on May 3, created the event as a way of bringing faith into the marketplace. The Normal, Illinois, native expects many local businesses to participate, as well as three entrepreneurs from the Village of Cedarville — Immersion Coffee Company, Crowned Chains jewelry, and Eve's Original Sin Cookies.
Attendees will enjoy acoustic worship music throughout the day, with musicians Hayden Powell and Jayden Martin performing in the final hour.
“This is a chance to have a communal event focused on faith in Christ through continuing connectivity, faith and worship,” said Gearhart.
The event is hosted by Vinyl Coffee and LIFEHOUSE Church in Lebanon, Ohio. While there is no admission fee, financial donations will be accepted for future missions trips.
“I have an amazing team who makes this possible, and I'm blessed to work with them,” shared Gearhart. Gearhart's team includes Windsor Rapp, a senior communication major from Covington, Ohio, and two 2024 Cedarville alumnae: Hannah Yost from Bluffton, Ohio, and Emily Campbell from Overland Park, Kansas.
