After years of struggles with infertility, the passing of her husband and a near-death experience, Susan Troth, associate professor of worship at Cedarville University, shares her experience with grief in her new Amazon bestselling book “Stressed to Splessed.”
Despite the hardships, Troth has dedicated much of her time to volunteering and helping those in need. This past year, Troth was honored for her dedication through the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for her 4,000+ hours of service.
Through her trials, Troth found a way to mentor and lead other women through times of grief. Her book offers mentorship and guidance through the tools of hope, healing and joy for those dealing with trauma, grief and stress.
The book uses an acronym, S.P.L.E.S.S.E.D, to present women with healthy ways of dealing with grief and trauma. This acronym represents Surrender, Permission to grieve, Leaning into truth, Emotions are a gauge not a guide, Still, small voice of God, Endure the work and Discovering hope.
“I want to help other women who have gone through difficult times, and S.P.L.E.S.S.E.D. is an acronym that is grounded in experience, ministry and counseling that makes healing steps easy to remember,” says Troth.
Facing grief or trauma can cause people to lose sight of the Lord. Through her book and her online coaching ministry, Troth seeks to help women see that God is still present and understand they can lean on Him in times of heartache.
“Stressed to Splessed” is available on Amazon and an official launch party will take place on January 30, 2025.
