One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

by Ella Smith, Student Public Relations Writer

Student ministry leaders from Ohio and neighboring states are invited to gather on March 20 for Cedarville University’s third annual Student Ministry RoundtableRegistration is now open with a cost of $35 and a discount available for current Cedarville students.

What began as a gathering of local youth pastors sharing the triumphs and challenges of ministry has grown to a full-day conference packed with meaningful discussion and information. Each year, the student ministry advisory council carefully selects topics that address the most pressing and relevant struggles faced by those in student ministry.

This year’s event features three dynamic speakers.

Dr. Josh KiraPastor Case Seymour Dr. Dan DeWitt

Dr. Josh Kira, Cedarville’s associate professor of philosophy and theology, will explore the theology of emotion and worship. Pastor Case Seymour, a student ministries pastor at Spring Creek Church in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, will tackle navigating gender identity issues within the context of student ministry. And Dr. Daniel DeWitt, creative director and designer for Scholar Leaders, will present insights on what C.S. Lewis might say to youth workers today.

“My hope is that every attendee would find some way that they can be encouraged, exhorted, and challenged through this roundtable conference,” said Pastor Bruce Traeger, Cedarville University’s director of church relations.

In addition to these presentations, attendees will participate in two roundtable sessions designed to foster collaboration and idea-sharing. These discussions will provide ministry leaders a chance to share successes, brainstorm solutions and encourage one another.

“We want attendees to have the opportunity to learn from and encourage one another,” said Traeger.

Cedarville is also inviting student ministry leaders to bring high school students from their churches to experience the university’s campus while their leaders attend the conference.
