2025 Spring Semester Activities List
Seven Springs Ski Trip
- Trip Date: January 31–February 1
- Base Cost: $150 – Includes lift ticket, transportation, overnight accommodation (4 to a room) and dinner Saturday night. Participants would still need to pay for other food (lunch Saturday) and equipment rental ($50 if needed for either ski or snowboard rental).
- Registration Information: Sign up at the front desk of the Recreation Center between November 13–December 13 with a $50 non-refundable deposit. The exceptions to this would be 1) if the trip is canceled because less than 40 students sign up by December 13, or 2) if the trip is canceled because of poor weather/ski conditions. In these two cases, all monies paid will be returned.
- We plan to leave Friday night, January 31 at 6 p.m. and stay overnight in a hotel in New Stanton, Pennsylvania. Saturday morning, January 25, we will drive 30 minutes to Seven Springs and ski all day from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will head back to Cedarville shortly after 5 p.m., stopping for dinner on the way and arriving back on campus around 11 p.m.

Group Exercise Classes
- The class schedule will be posted by January 9.
- Classes will be FREE of charge and on a first come, first served basis.
- Classes are planned to begin January 13.

5v5 Basketball
- Registration Dates: December 4–13
- Play Begins: January 13
- Format: All men's teams will play pool play (3–5 round robin games first) with the top teams entering a combined single elimination tournament to determine the overall championship team. The women will either play pool play and then a playoff (if there are more than 7 teams) or a simple round robin format within one league (with the team with the best record being declared the championship team).
- Number of Players per Team: Minimum – 6, Maximum – 12, During Play – 5
- No more than two ex-varsity or JV basketball players on any one team*. See below for more details.
- Officials: There will be one scorekeeper and two game officials provided for each game. Those interested in becoming an intramural 5v5 basketball game official should plan to attend both of the following clinics: Clinic 1 will be held Wednesday, December 4 at 8 p.m. in CAL 203, and Clinic 2 will be held Saturday, January 11 at 10 a.m. in CAL 203. Those who are interested in becoming an intramural basketball scorekeeper should plan to attend the scorekeeper meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 5 at 7 p.m. in CAL 203.

Intramural Handbook information regarding ex-varsity and JV basketball players:
- A student who is a member of any intercollegiate varsity athletic team, or who is red-shirting for a varsity team, or who at one time during the school year was a member of a varsity team and has been declared academically ineligible, or is working out (practicing) with a varsity team and continues to do so past that team’s first regular season game (including transfer students), is not eligible to participate in the same, or similar intramural sport during the academic year in which they are so listed.
- A student who is a member of any junior varsity (JV) intercollegiate athletic team, or who at one time during the school year was a member of a JV team and has been declared academically ineligible, or is working out (practicing) with a JV team and continues to do so past that team’s first regular season game (including transfer students), is not eligible to participate in the same, or similar intramural sport during the semester in which they are so listed. Once a player finishes his JV season in the fall (i.e., basketball, volleyball, soccer) and does not move up to the varsity squad, he/she may participate in the same or similar intramural sport the following semester (spring).
- Former intercollegiate varsity athletes may participate the year following their intercollegiate involvement. Former intercollegiate JV athletes may participate the semester following their intercollegiate JV involvement. Any one intramural team is limited to the following number of former varsity and JV players:
- Basketball - no more than 2 ex-varsity* or JV players on an intramural team.
*Players who were considered "starters" and started at least half of the games on a varsity team will count as two ex-players.

- Format: We'll play a double-elimination tournament format (if possible) for each gender. Specific format and guidelines will be sent out to participants on Friday, February 24.

- Number of Players per Team: 6–10 players per team. Six players will compete on a side. Others will be available as substitutes.
- Format: The format will most likely include a round robin pool play with a single-elimination tournament at the end to the determine the overall champion.

Doubles Disc Golf League
- Registration Dates: March 12–19
- Play Begins: March 26
- Format: This will be a “best shot scramble” with both partners throwing from the previous best shots (tee to basket). We will play four 18-basket rounds (one round each week for four weeks) and take the combined score from all four rounds to determine the championship team.
- Divisions: Open – Teams can be made up of either two males, two females or one of each. The women will throw from the short tees and the men will throw from the long tees.
- Scheduling: Everyone signing up must be able to play on the following four Wednesdays at either 4:15 or 5:15 p.m.:

Young’s Bike Ride 2
- Registration Dates: March 26–April 3
- Event Date: April 5
- Event Start Time: 1 p.m.

- Approximately an 18–20 mile bike ride starting at the Fitness Center

- We'll have several groups riding at different speeds so that each person can ride at an appropriate pace for them. A support truck will be provided.
- Young’s ice cream will be available to all those who pre-register by midnight on Thursday and complete ride on Saturday.

4-Player Golf Scramble (One-Day)
- Registration Dates: April 9–17
- Format: Four-player scramble
- Playing Date: Friday, April 25
- Location: Locust Hills Golf Course
- Cost: $10 per student and faculty/staff member (includes ride cart for nine holes)
- Sign Up: Stop by the Rec Center Control Desk during the afternoon or evening hours, pay the fee, and sign up for a tee time.
- Tee Times: 3:30–5 p.m.
- Students who have played on the varsity golf team this year are ineligible to participate. Four-man teams are limited to one past varsity golfer.
