Explore Cedarville's Bible Minor Project
Tuesday, December 27, 2022
One of the value-added distinctives of a Cedarville education is the Bible minor that is built into every undergraduate program. Made up of five courses — The Bible and the Gospel, Old Testament Literature, New Testament Literature, Theology I, and Theology II — the Bible minor stretches students to think about God, His Word, and His world in whole new ways and encourages them to apply Scripture to all areas of their lives.
Last year, we began making this outstanding Bible teaching available to everyone through our online Bible Minor Project. Every lecture from all five courses will be recorded and, when completed, made available for FREE for personal enrichment, group Bible studies, and the benefit of the church.
Currently, three of the Bible minor courses are available online:
- Old Testament Literature – Student favorite Dr. Chris Miller will walk you through the Old Testament in an engaging way. You’ll explore the history of the Hebrew nation from its origin to the time of Jesus Christ. You will see how the stories fit together in God’s redemptive plan.
- Theology I – Using Scripture and classic and contemporary theological literature, Dr. Jeremy Kimble introduces the doctrines of the triune God, creation and humanity, revelation, and sin and discover how they relate to our lives today.
- Theology II – Dr. Kimble continues his passionate teaching of Scripture as he introduces the doctrines of Christ, salvation, the Holy Spirit, and last things. You'll discover how these doctrines relate to your life today and learn to defend what you believe.
The fourth course — New Testament Literature — will be released this spring. This is the kind of outstanding biblical teaching your student can expect at Cedarville, and you can follow along at home!
We pray you are blessed by the teaching of God's Word.
