Wall Street Journal Recognizes Cedarville for Student Engagement

Tuesday, March 23, 2021

Students working on assignmentsA recent Wall Street Journal ranking provided outside validation that Cedarville University does an outstanding job of helping students engage with their education. The Journal listed Cedarville as No. 2 out of all U.S. colleges and universities and No.2 in the Midwest for making students feel engaged, or involved, with the education process.

According to the report, colleges that rank high in engagement offer an education that can have more depth and meaning. The level of engagement students feel determines how actively they are grappling with concepts and trying to apply them to the real world. If the curriculum is too challenging, or the community too distant, students may disengage. If classes are too easy or life a little too comfortable, they may float passively through school, absorbing little. It’s a difficult balance, and Cedarville is getting it right!

At Cedarville, when residential classes are in session, our students engage with each other through chapel and ministries, our faculty members bring an eternal perspective to their lectures, and our student life programs are intentionally educating the whole person. Cedarville’s life-transforming educational approach can place a small Christian college in Ohio above all the Ivy League institutions because we are engaging students with a Gospel purpose.

We are grateful both for this opportunity to be a Light for the Gospel and for the affirmation of the quality experience Cedarville provides. This is the kind of education your student can expect on our campus as well.

P.S. If your student has been accepted to Cedarville, submit your reservation depositby May 1 to secure his or her spot in the fall class!
