The Cyber Leader Development Program (CLDP) is designed to cultivate leaders in the cyber domain who are equipped with both technical expertise and strategic leadership skills. As the cybersecurity arena continues to expand, there is a fundamental need for professionals who not only possess technical capability but can also effectively lead a team to accomplish the tasks before them. This program seeks to equip students with an immersive and comprehensive understanding of cyber leadership, emphasizing practical, hands-on learning experiences.
Who will benefit from the Cyber Leader Development Program?
This program is designed for the upper echelon of Cyber Operations students, who are motivated, disciplined, and driven to learn and grow. These students are committed to pursuing cyber opportunities beyond the classroom.
The CLDP is a two-year program for upperclassmen in which students complete the necessary prerequisites before applying for the program during their sophomore year.

Requirements for CLDP Program Entry
Students must meet at least 9 of the following 10 requirements:
- Basic Cyber Maneuvers course completion (B or higher)*
- Advanced Cyber Maneuvers course completion (B or higher)*
- Commitment to uphold CLDP Scholar expectations and complete the program*
- Resume & Cover Letter*
- GPA (at or above 3.5)
- National Cyber League (at or above 1000 points)
- NCAE Cyber Games participation
- Other cyber competition participation (e.g. Hivestorm, CodeBreaker etc.)
- At least 1 application submitted for a cyber-related internship
- Attended cyber talks (at least 1 per semester)
