Day of Discipleship
Every day, Cedarville faculty and staff work tirelessly in the various roles God has granted them at the University. But they go beyond that to fulfill the Great Commission, meeting with students for
intentional times of spiritual growth in their knowledge of the Word, prayer, ministry, and love for Christ.

Life-on-Life Discipleship
At Cedarville University, obeying the Great Commission means a culture of making disciples by going, evangelizing, and teaching until the Word of Christ dwells in us richly (Col. 3:16). Intentional discipleship is embedded in every aspect of the University. From older students to younger, in the residence halls and the classroom, from student life to Global Outreach, making disciples who make disciples is Cedarville’s mission.

Catalyst for Change
Aaron Cook ’99 became the Director of Discipleship Ministries at Cedarville in the summer of 2014. Every year, Cook invests in members of the Discipleship Council, who likewise invest in Discipleship Group leaders, who then pour into D-Group members. It’s a chain reaction of discipleship, in fulfillment of 2 Timothy 2:2.

Seeing the Difference
A Cedarville dad relates his personal testimony of how his daughter has been transformed by the personal investment she’s received at Cedarville. From HeartSong to the classroom to her residence hall, the Gearharts have seen discipleship transform their daughter’s life.

Discipleship on the Go
Discipleship at Cedarville clearly includes dedicated times in the Scriptures and meeting for fellowship, but much of it happens while students are having a meal, helping a neighbor, playing sports, or ministering together. Discipleship happens on the go at Cedarville University, just as all of life happens on the go.
